81. The household priest should strive for the prosperity of the house.
82. The household priest with his vedic knowledge help households to do good deeds successfully.

अन्नपतेन्नस्य नो देह्यनमीवस्य शुष्मिणः ।  प्र प्र दातारं तारिष ऊर्जम नो धेहि  द्विपदे चतुष्पदे ॥ 83 ॥

83. O Lord! Grant us food that provides energy. Grant food for all the animals of the earth.

When we interpret vedas as actions to be done by the man and other beings created by God, the interpretation is the importance of food for all in this world. The person who can produce food is to be propitiated by others for food to all. Vedas indicate the exchange economy. Certain people are good in certain activities. Others have to give them due importance at various points of time and keep up their spirits and motivate them to keep doing their activities.

R.G. 83 A share of food, O Lord of Food, vouchsafe us, invigorating food that brings no sickness.
Onward, still onward lead the giver. Grant us maintenance both for quadruped and biped.
